XYZoo Animation
I've just discovered the little-known but wonderful animation of Lindsay Van Blerk, director and animator par excellance of XYZoo Animation located in South Africa. They have produced some incredible stopmotion for Billy Budd Films, a company specialising in short animated films with a christian message. The videos and DVDs can be bought through the Adelante Project website.

Way "down under" in Melbourne, Australia, there lives a highly talented jack-of-all-trades named Nick Hilligoss who concieves, designs, builds, and animates short nature-themed films overflowing with whimsical inventiveness. and Christine Roche
An incredible 10 minite film by Finnish animator Marjut Rimminen and Christine Roche. I got it down to 12 megs... as good as I can do, but it's well worth it! This is one of my favorites.... a mix of cell and stopmo animation woven into a twisted family drama held together and pushed to new heights by an excellent voiceover. This film reveals layers of meaning each time you watch it.

Alexander Ptushko Russia's "Uncle Ray" crossed with Karel Zeman.... Ok, he doesn't do stopmotion, or even animation, but his FX work is so brilliant and dripping with that Sense of Wonder that you'll almost think you've discovered a long-lost trove of Harryhausen films from his little-known "Russian Period"! These films can be bought on DVD (Region free!) at Ruscico.com
Some more recent 'creature' animation featuring cutting edge effects and dazzling computer assisted composite work: Phil Tippett Master animator of the modern era and heir to Harryhausen's monumental talent. His stylized work is what I refer to as "Hyper-Harryhausen".
Kim Blanchette Another master in the same league as Tippett but less well known. Aside from assisting Phil on the Jurassic Park animatic stopmo and his work on Nightmare Before Christmas, Kim has done a series of fantastic commercials for a Japanese company called Nissin, makers of Cup-o-Noodle Soup. He worked in conjunction with Chiodo Brothers studio on this project.
I understand the Kim Blanchette Cup-O-Noodle Cinema isn't working right for some people. That's a shame, because it's really a thing of beaty when it works right (it does on my high speed connection) but for those who can't get it to work, here are the individual movie files presented by themselves:
